Not able to craft Old Man's Beard Wound Dressing

I am not able to craft any Old Man's Beard Wound Dressing. I have crafted a few ealiere but then suddenly I am not able to craft more.
Have I missed something or is this a bug?

You seem to be missing a bandage, a needed component. If you want to use all the old man's beard lichen you will need 2 bandages.

Might also keep a couple bandages around as well. If you were to say step into a fire you cannot use old man beard's wound dressings to deal with the burns, at least the last time I stepped into my own fire. That is the only instance where bandages work and OMB dressings don't that I know of.
