Is Tales from the Far Territory DLC Worth Buying? Can I Continue My Save File?

I have been playing this game for 50 hours and am thinking about buying the Tales from the Far Territory DLC. But I have two questions: Is it worth buying? And can I continue playing my save file?

If you're really liking the base game then yes, Tales DLC is worth buying. And yes, it autopatches all new content into your existing saves.

You can continue your save file with the dlc, spawning new items and recipes even if already explored. And new region available too. Be careful, they are harder regions, colder, or with poison wolves or timberwolves.
