How to start Sutherland's Tale?

I have been trading like crazy, hoping it would trigger the tale, but no...
I had him to talk to me after signing in and off the radio a lot to see if he would budge, but nothing about the Tale, then I traded like crazy again to gain his trust.
Maybe I missed something that he told me to do, but since I don't have a journal entry for the tale, I don't know what that would be.

After trading enough times (I've seen 6-7 said) he will offer a blue conversation option. The quest is not a tale like the others but will be displayed as a special trade with a white star in the trade screen. Sadly the quest is currently bugged and cannot be completed without console commands.

I think trading multiple times over the same aurora is what broke the trust for me, when I started to either only start or only confirm a trade for one aurora, the quest unlocked right away.
