Trader do not accept jerry cans

The trader asked me 3L of lamp oil for a trade, I brought 0.25L in a small lamp oil bottle and 2.75L in a jerry can, but the jerry can item doesn't fit in the trader box. Any tips or idea to convert jerry can fuel to lamp oil ? Known bug ? Thx

No legit solution at the moment. You could use a mod to spawn the lamp oil.
But they really should make a way to convert back and forth between jerrycans and lam oil.

Thank you such a shame we need to rely on mods for such basic things

I ended up scrapping some oil lamps to split the Jerry can, fill them up, drop the Jerry can, scrap the lamp and you will get scrap metals and some small lantern fuel thingy's.

I may have an answer. So I tried to put "below 50% condition" lamp oil in the box and it did not work. All the jerry cans I have are below 50% condition, so that might be the reason it doesn't work. Being so picky when the world around you is destroyed is beyond me ...
