Really Hinterland. WHY? WHY?

After a year of not playing, I entered the chemical zone and then the mine (mission: search the mine for traces). Now after getting stuck in the mine I apparently FIRST need to use the handheld radio OUTSIDE (and not IN the mine) to find some chopper. I was wondering why the radio did not do anything INSIDE although there was a transmission / electric storm.

This mission statement you put in the journal is just stupid and completely has send me the wrong way. Really, this cost me literally hours - and I needed to look it online up because I'm stuck in the mine (bolt cutters). And I hate, I hate spoilers.

Now getting out of the mine the SECOND friggin' time to go outside to first find the foreman's key. And I can't load a previous save. This is so frustrating. The F-word.

Hint: if it said - use the handheld to search for sings of life in the area and THEN enter the mine it would have saved me hours. Or AT LEAST kept it easy as: use the handheld to search for signs of life in the area (and then I find a hint somewhere to go into the mine and keep searching)., That would have made much more sense.

I struggled too, but found it in line with what the game is about. Perhaps you can check off the 500 day achievement as well 😁.

Funny story, when Buried Echoes was first introduced I swear this is what I read, either that or because I knew the radio didn't work in caves my brain went to searching for stuff outside first anyway.

The note you find at the first site clues the helicopter.

Also, I don't think the mission says to search the mine for traces. One of the objectives literally says "Use the handheld shortwave to track down the crashed helicopter.."
