Last Trader Challenge?
So ive done all the leg work and now Sunderland is asking me to go and bury Wyatt back in the bunker and seal it up...

I got all the way to Joplins bunker and nothing there...sooo, back i go, wait for the Aurora and theres no option to collect anything else other than a standard set of trades??

Is this part borked?

NB- I also have box 2 in my inventory as I found it when looking for box 3...I had already given Sunderland box 2 when I found the duplicate box 2...looks like a bug to me??

You have to get wyatt's in the box near the trader box.
Then bring them back to the bunker and use the fuse box in the secret area. You need 1 wire I think.

Ive been back and theres no green box next to the lock box and ive already engaged in dialogue with Sunderland RE putting the remains back so all that remains in terms of him is just trades.

Maybe I should report it as a bug?
Did you look at the sketches of the bunker hatch in the notes section of your journal? I think it's a requirement.

Report your experience with the quest as a bug report. I would suggest you go into details from the point where the quest deviated from what was expected. Like you got box 2 instead of box 3 from that cache. That you advanced it to getting Sutherland's mission to bury Wyatt, etc.

I have not finished the quest yet, just got the quest to go to the abandoned cache to search for box 3. It has not been a problem for me so far. I don't plan on finishing the quest until I am good and ready for I use that cache as a shelter.

Thank you...I didn't even notice they were there and there's no prompt to say they are there unless I missed that?

I don't think the sketches had anything to do with your problem. It sounds like your quest got off-track at some earlier point so now you're blocked because that derailment has not been fixed or mitigated.

I have no idea how you proceeded once you got box 2 instead of box 3 at the Conspiracy cache until you got to this point.

This sounds so much like Wintermute problems where the character would advance until he ran into something that required a previous event to be fulfilled but wasn't. At least in story-mode one could go back to an earlier save and try to work through the event but here in Survival that is not really possible and likely requires a patch to fix it.

The fact that the container next to the trade box did not appear point to a failure in quest progression that occurred somewhere and probably cannot be rewound and redone. Have to wait for a bug fix I think.
It seemed a bit buggy for me, but I was able to just interact with the control panel thing on the wall (even though that was not what the text said to do first) and that complete both the steps for that final stage. I still have the duplicate note 2 stuck in my inventory, but it did complete that 'trade' and it did max out a few trades later.

ETA this is assuming you found the bones and got that final special request.

So basically it happened in this order

1- Got box 1, traded it in...
2. Got box 2, traded it in....
3. When looking for box 3, I found box 2 again
4. Found box 3, traded it in
5. Box 2 ( although already traded in) still remains in my inventory and cannot be removed
6. Found Wyatts bones, traded them in...got dialogue for returning them
7. No collection box available

Sounds borked to me?

You did have the conversation on the radio with Sutherland where he "remembered" what had happened and then asked you to return Wyatt's bones to the cache and seal it up?

I am at that point and deliberately didn't have the conversation... well I scummed it by copying the save game when I stepped into the Quonset then talked to him, decided I wasn't going to go on that quest just yet, quit, reloaded the copy I had just made and went and set up another trade without any indication of that last stage of the quest. I should check the trade box Just In Case but I don't expect to see the container with Wyatt's remains inside since I do not have that part of the quest (at this point).

I was concerned that having the last stage active would mean I could not complete the Active Trade until that was done and I had other things I was interested in though, of course, the ultimate possible trade items won't show until the quest is completed.

Sounds like something went wrong somewhere in your quest. The key point seems to be that the container by the trade box did not appear. I find it hard to believe that just taking off for the target cache without the remains would derail the quest so it must be something else that maybe could not be noticed at all. Better bug it to Support.

Did you collect the heavy hammer which is the reward for the bones?
If yes, do you have an active trade to destroy Joplin's bunker? If not, can you find that trade in the list? If not: bug.

Thats a good point...I got no heavy hammer for completion..

Oh well ...looks like im reporting ANOTHER bug:steamsad:
S*** I think I got the heavy hammer wrong, it was an improvised knife, anyway one or the other.

In that case i got one of those, but then again i had other trades going on too which I completed all at the same time...

i still think this is a bug so have reported to HL

1st mission- Mackinaw jacket
2nd mission - three arrow points
3rd mission - improvised knife
