Not finding the curator's rifle

Hi all, I'm on a personal quest to get all rifle variants. I found a YouTube video that lists all variant possible locations and showed 5 locations for the curator's rifle in AC, but i visited all 5 and didn't find it. Are there other possible locations, or might this be a bug? Thanks.

What difficulty are you playing on?
On Interloper and higher there're no weapons except the bow(s).

There aren't even bows in the world on loper, you need to craft them yourself...

I dunno, so many people seem to not find new rifle variants, and I had no problem finding them... I don't want to gaslight anyone, so maybe there's actually a bug with them not loading into the game world... Maybe there isn't and people just aren't looking well enough... There were quite a few posts with people unable to locate Vauhn's rifle which has like 3 total spots across the dam and outside...

I've had several Loper runs where there was a survival bow and some arrows in Catie's secluded corner in DP.
Same for the shag on floating island in FA.
So you can find bows and arrows even in Loper runs ;)

I'm on pilgrim, so everything should be there. AC isn't my favorite region so I'm not terribly familiar with it, but I followed the video's directions and got to the exact locations described. I've already got Barb's rifle and Vaughn's rifle, also the spelunker's lantern and forester's revolver. I just can't find the curator's rifle.
