Trader (Spoiler)

So I do some trading and now he gives me a quest to look for his brother Wyatt. And the first clue is in a bunker or something like that. But on what map? Where do i need to look? Is anyone that far along yet and can help?

Haven't found it yet, but my guess is it is inside one of the nine new (TFT) "Prepper Bunkers". Specifically one of the three which is stocked with loot.

I don't think it is the Prepper's Abandoned Cache in Pleasant Valley. Even used Safehouse Customization to move/destroy furniture and there and wasn't able to find anything to interact with. However there does seem to be a new, secret room inside that PV Prepper's Abandoned Cache, which you can see quite clearly via Safehouse Customization. It's in the rear left area near the bed, on the back wall. There is even a small gap in the bricks you can peek through and see a room beyond.

The Preppers Cache in PV is in my run not abandoned. The contents of caches is randomly selected during world generation.
But yes, it is one of the three which is stocked with loot is my guess too. The first one in my run was at Mystery Lake. I am searching now for the second bunker.

I found all three bunkers with corresponding suitcases and handed them in. Then the Trader gave me another quest, this time with a direct location in PV, the empty bunker just before you get to TM. Found the suitcase again. However, this time I can't hand it in. Is this a bug?

Could you provide a screenshot of what to look for, or more information? I've explored all 9 of the Prepper Caches in a Stalker run with the "Search for signs of Wyatt" special request, and have not found of these objects you've mentioned.

You have to look in the bunkers where there is loot. That should be 3 out of 9. Then search the walls of the three bunkers for loose bricks.
And I'm not sure if you have to trigger this by trading for the special object first.

Hmn, maybe something is bugged out with my save (was a save made prior to the Part 6 patch), since not finding anything intractable in those bunkers. I'll double back to them since it looks like TLD got a minor patch this morning, will reply if anything changes.

I’m playing on the new hotfix and have searched 8 of 9 bunkers and I’ve found nothing that will progress this objective. No loose bricks or secret rooms or special suitcases. Am I missing something, or is this a confirmed bug?

I'm in a similar spot with you: was pretty meticulous w/ a Lantern scanning for anything I thought could be interractable inside of literally all Prepper Bunkers. Feels like I'm being gaslit doubting myself if either I missed it, or there's a bug and the interactable object didn't spawn.

Could be a bug, I don't know... unfortunately there are currently some. I also cant progress the story.
But...
1. Did you first make the deal with the trader to deliver the special item?
2. If this is the case, then the object only triggers in the one specific bunker. You will find nothing in the other bunkers even if there would otherwise be something in it in the second deal.
3. Then trade the object. Make the second request and only then you can search in the bunker.

Thanks for that video - now I can confirm those bricks exist but aren’t interactive in my version of the hunter’s cache (which is also in HRV, even). Sigh. Hopefully there’s another patch in the works to address this.

To be clear, I did start the "special" deal w/ the Trader first. Then I went to the "hunter's" prepper cache. The bricks are sticking out of the wall, but I can't interact with them.

If you've found another game-blocking bug further down the Trader's questline, I probably should wait for the next patch before trying again. I've been at it for several hours now and I think I'm ready to give up for today. But I appreciate the help!

I dont know if its a translation issue or im just not familiar enough with the whole Maps but to get this done i need to find all bunkers in ALL regions to find clues ?
also i dont know what HRV Region is.. can anyone help ? Im super frustrated about this task

So I believe there is a bug with the first "Special Request" from The Trader currently, but I believe the intended location should be the "Prepper's Abandoned Cache" (bunker) in Pleasant Valley, right outside the climb to Timberwolf Mountain. I believe once accepting this first 'special request' you're supposed to travel to this location, and interract with this partial hole in the wall, but for some reason it isn't accessible despite having the 'special request' active. I've already made a bug report about this to Hinterlands, so hopefully it gets resolved fairly quickly, since it does appear to softlock the whole progress since it is mandatory for Trader reputation progression from my understandning.

This bug doesn't seem to be affecting all players, so I'm unsure the cause, but it's definitely affecting some players and not others atm.

I believe that 'after' you travel to "Repper's Abandoned Cache" in PV, there are then other objects you can pursue (in other Trader 'Special Requests' I believe) in the 9 "Prepper Bunkers" (which contain the Prepper's Pie recipe, Hunting Revolver, etc).

I'm seriously wondering why you think the Prepper's Abandoned Cache should be the first bunker...what makes you think that?
I mean, you definitely go there later in the questline, but only after you've done the three special requests.

No need to be rude. As I've said in my other posts, something is obviously bugged. I've explored all 9 of the "Prepper Cache" and the "Prepper's Abandoned Cache" with a lantern and there's nothing to interact with in any of them on my saves.
