Will you replay Story mode?
I have mixed feelings, I am curious about the story, How and why things happened. How will this tale end? But then even though I know how to do the missions and puzzles I would rather not.

I've replayed, usually in advance of the release of a new episode, for reminders of the progress of the story. Agree there are some puzzles and missions that, for me, don't appeal . . . two that come to mind involve a bear... and carrying folks. Aside from that, i enjoyed replaying.

I do not like the puzzles and I saved a lot of gear which I cannot carry into a following episode.

I have played the story mode through a couple to a few times if I can recall waiting for Episode 5, but yea... I ended up uninstalling it. So to answer your question, been there done that, as of right now I have no interest in playing anymore... too many broken promises, and I am not a fan of real world politics in video games.

I've replayed once when the major update came out (can't remember when, redux?). Waiting for Episode 5 but wont replay the game once I've completed it. The survival mode is boring as well now (>600hrs played).

I can't even finish ep4. too many wolves.
I usually replay from ep1 every time a new ep shows up, perhaps i will skip ep4 in the future :(

Not a hope. It's such a slog. Whenever I play the story mode I just ask myself why am I even listening to this expository dialogue of a story that I couldn't hope to care about when all I want to do is really play Sandbox? I can't be the only one who thinks the writing for the Story Mode is just laughably bad. It's like they tried to do ta TV-Series Walking Dead style story in this game which actually does something really great with the solitary exploration and survival against mother nature. I just don't understand why Raphael is forcing his team to work on something so contrived and uninteresting when they HAVE a really great foundation for something else.

I remember all the way back in 2017 they released a roadmap for development and on the 1
+ year range they had "multi-seasonal maps." Can you imagine how cool that would be? Here we are 5+ years later and they are STILL toying around with finishing Episode 5 for this story mode. It's just so sad.

So which is worse for you, the story itself or that it is taking 5 years to do?

Probably the story itself I'd say. It's one thing if a development studio has a relatively slow work pace, but it's another thing if they are squandering time and resources on something which ultimately just doesn't work.

So you do not accept the explanation about delays because of 1) A pandemic 2) They delayed Episode 3 because they had to do a redo when they hag a chance to improve the game. 3) It is a small company. Is this correct?
