how to scare the bear away from the southwest radio tower?

my flare gun (god bless its soul) does nothing


like how do i use the spear effectively?

Equip the spear. Walk slowly towards him until he rears up and starts to charge you. Then brace the spear. That's a how a bear spear works realistically:

I had to spear the bear several times though, which is a bit weird. Once he mauled me unconscious and when I woke up my boots and socks were frozen. Barely made it to a cave in heavy fog.

thanks i figured out that my stamana was too low as well

i struggled with it twice and got mauled once.. he seems to have wandered off... im going to unpause the game now.. wish me luck

When game save near Tower, I suspect that bear will appear, then I run for right and for tower, get the parts and "goat" down the rock wall behind, leaving bear behind, run for railroad tunnel for ML, weather became fog and I have to shoot two pesky wolves in the way.
Reach the tunnel, and bear catch me.

Part of the story. That bear is stalking you. Some kind of demon possessed bear. :)
