Bears Cave, Speer

Since killing the bear changed in the redux and it now carries you into his cave, you have to find that speer to kill it. I cant't find anything about where the speer is or how you can get past the bear without triggering it, I've tried everything.

Anyone found this out yet? I tried putting a piece of meat on his programmed path hoping it might stop him for a few more seconds, I tried sneaking, running, anything.

Please help, I'm stuck and hope that anyone knows what to do in that cave;)

On your left starting position there is a ledge that can be climbed. Just follow the path. You ll meet the bear several times but you have to sneak past it. You ll know when you find the spear. :)

I already climbed it and followed the path. There is a really dark cave on the left hand side of the 'room' that the bear continuosly crosses. Is the spear there? Bc there seems to be an invisible line that triggers the bear as soon as I cross it. Do I need to use the wolf meat for something?

No, it isn t in first "room" , just sneak past bear several times. Stay away from the bear. :) You can run too. Bear can t enter in low tunnels.

There are 4 rooms. I got the speer at the last one. Afterthat, I fought with the bear twice, and still cannot kill him. However, the speer is gone after the scond fight. It is so .......

If the bear don t die after the second fight retreat in a tunnel and wait it to bleed to death :)

Stabbed the bear eight times before it killed me. Gave up after that. I like the game but this section was tedious.

found the spear but cant get back to the bear seam traped in the room were the spear is with no bear

Love the game (and am constantly reccomending it to others) and I was loving the redux but this whole section is the reason, for the first time ever, that I switched TLD off in utter disgust... It just feels fustrating and completly at odds with the rest of the flow of the game.

That bear has one hell of a big cave. I found my way through, it's not even that hard, just need to memorize the bears pattern

Yeah. The bear cave shows the indie side of this game. The movements are clunky within the capabilities of the game. I find games that make one do the same thing over and over with slightly increased success in the same ‘mission’ to be poorly designed. This section of this game does that. A well designed game should allow the observant, knowledgeable player the chance of playing through first time without dying.

However. It is an awesome game. I wish there was an iOS version so I could play a few minutes here and there on my iPad. TWoM, FTL, Minecraft PE and Catan are all great fo that. This game in survival mode would dominate.
