Rabbit traps/snares

Hi. Was/am trying to do one of the side quest. Anyone able to catch the rabbits with the traps/snare? I have made 12 of them and put them all over the farm area. Seems the rabbits just goes through them. Anyone else have somewhat similar problem? Is there a timer/24 hours wait after putting them down?

You have to place the traps where you see rabbits wandering around (frozen ponds are good) and then leave them alone for around 6 hours. You'll never see the snare actually catch the rabbit. Instead, there will just be a dead rabbit lying near the tripped snare after some time has passed. Or the snare will be broken.

Hi. Finally finished quest took about three game days lol. I ended up making 15 in all lol. Got two rabbits just as i was about to log off for the night, near the farm area. Yep found out, thanks for the info.

I've had a lot of difficulty with this. I was trying to trap near the farm. I've spent 3 days there so far passing time and I still havent caught one yet. Also i've made several other attempts as I did Episode 1 quests. I've never had so much difficulty snaring rabbits. Usually when I snare em in sandbox it takes less than 8 hours with one trap to snare a rabbit.
