How do i use the climbing rope?

Im at the point in the story where i have to climb Lily's route to get to Astrid but there is no indication of where or how i should use my climbing rope

You have to attach the rope to something. If you're at the picnic area look a bit to your left. You should be able to interact with an object.

Do you see a location indicated on your map? Once there you should where you might put that rope to good use!
