I think managing your weight is all part of the challenge, but freedom of choice is good. We all play for our own reasons.

A couple of things to note if you do decide to give it a go.
1. Pay attention to step 3.
2. Currently mods only work properly with MelonLoader 0.6.6.
Still I want to say thank you.
The carry weight mod does not work.
The only viable option at the moment is to force_gear_weight in the console.
Then you can enable unlimited carry weight in the mod settings menu on both yourself and containers
Uh no. I use this cheat mod to make my own rules (I add 1kg of lift to each Lvl 5 of my skills so at max + 9kg), which in no way breaks the difficulty and the spirit of the game (the beginning does not changes nothing) while providing a pleasant feeling of adaptation to the environment and optimization of the lift of my favorite items.
To do this, I use the "Universal Tweak" mod which now includes and replaces the "carry weight mod". Everything works perfectly with the use of version 0.61 of Melon loader. It should be noted that all important information (including the crucial recommendation to use version 0.61 to run mods) can be found on the “Discord”. It is essential to consult it if you want optimal use of your mods. These informations are not found on the "TLD mod list", nor on the "GiftHub" which hosts the mods.
