Possible bug? Or intended.. (run-walk speed)
Not quite sure if this is intended or a bug but while running around trying to find a shelter I found myself barely being able to move. I wasn't stuck, it was in a pretty open area, I wasn't carrying too much and all my vitals were good/decent. Not overly thirsty, hungry, fatigued or close to freezing.

I had to quit the game and start over again at the last save. It annoyed my quite a bit as I can't find a reason for this to happen nor a solve.

Any ideas?

Tyrsa.

Walking speed depends on wind. If you are walking into the wind it may seem like you are barely able to move. It also depends on the slope, if you are on ice or snow etc.

Right, it might have been that then tho I didn't notice a harsh wind picking up or a storm. And it didn't matter in what direction I moved eiter, back, forth, left or right, I simply wasn't able to walk at a normal speed. Snowy area however (not ice) tho I had been walking/running there for a while and it was fine then.

It felt more like I hit a wrong keybind or something and toggled slow walk (not possible but just an example).

It could have been a bug then. Maybe you got stuck into something.

Hit crouch on accident without noticing?

I limped all the way up to the forestry lookout once to get some bandages for my sprained ankle. As I'm going up the steps I realized the ankle wasn't that bad, I had just walked all the way up there in a crouch, with a sprained ankle... Check your crouch buttons!

That sounds like something nubcake-ish I would do to be honest. Seeing as there are no overwhelming "yes this happened to me too" responses it might have been just a blonde action from my side. It's all fine today but it might have been a bug afterall as well.

I'm sure it wouldn't have happened to Bear Grylls but hey...

Bear Grylls is just overhyped would like to be survivalist:) So it is posible that he would accidentaly hit crouch button:)

Not quite sure if I'll get a decent response as it's a new question but I can't be bothered making a new thread. I can't find any information about it but I've noticed that there used to me a map added to the game but it wasn't accessible in alpha and now it seems to have been removed. Will there be a map eventually so you have a sense of direction or can see where you have and haven't been? Or something so you can pinpoint important places?

No map in this version, there is a rediculous amount of discussion about this on this forum and the offical forum. I can tell you there will never be a map like you have in say Assasins Creed with a "You are Here" blip and this is where you are going. There might be something more rudimentary in the future but the Devs have stated they want to stay away from that kind of hand holding. There are number player created maps on both forums if you really need it.
