Wolves don't seem to be scared by fire - bug?
I don't know if this is a bug, or just down to where the fire was positioned - on the snowy steps of one of the waterfront cottages - but the wolf didn't seem to be fazed by it.

The first one approached from the left, so I can understand him not being afraid of the fire, but the second approached from the right, heading directly towards the fire. One of them also seemed to "jump" over the fence at some point to attack me, too, though I can understand that so that's not really a complaint.

All I wanted to do was test out some damn herbal tea.

I only started playing after this most recent update and so far I have never seen wolves actually be afraid of fires. I've been attacked by wolves twice when there was a fire literally right next to me (I was harvesting dear/elk carcasses). During my very first game I made a fire (my first) on the traintracks near mystery lake and no less than ten minutes later I get mauled by wolves who did not seem to so much as acknowledge the existence of that fire. After that I assumed it was intentional. But if the wolves are supposed to be afraid of fire, they aren't in the current build.

The only time I've seen a wolf afraid of anything was when I threw a flare at it.

kind reminder, please add which difficulty level you play in when you post anything about the AI. It helps other players and the devs alike.

In my case the difficulty has always been on that middle one, with the owl sign. Voyager or something like that I think.

This was a previous save, so I'm not sure which difficulty level old saves default to. I've had fires successfully scare away wolves before so something must have gone wrong.

Yeah fire scared one away, but none since. No point in flares now.
