out of tinder

i am to the point in the game where all the stuff that you find is most all used up. I am out of tinder and cant start a fire soooo WHERE DO I GET MORE TINDER

Sounds like you're boned. Probably be more conservative with tinder next time, harvesting newspapers for 3 each, and making the most of each fire.

turning newspaper and newsprint into tinder is important.
After that. try foraging wood. sometime you can get them from wood foraging.

You can find tinder plugs during foraging. Dont make a fire every day. Have the wood ready so when you get meat you can cook all of it and make 5-10 l of water. it will take about 8-10 hours

yeah, technically, u can forage and boil water and cook meat forever. That's the "end game' right now. I'm pretty much done until they release more content.

Technically you can't, in my opinion.
I mean, technically if you never found a magnifying glass. And, you no longer have material to repair your fire-strike, and you run out of all your matches. How can you make a fire?
Or is it actually possible?

i used the trappers homestead as a base for up to day 40 then i ran between camp office and trappers, i came stuck for tinder at about say 20 (without looting most the map) so i would go to a safe spot around trappers homestead and forage for 1-2 hours at a time, most times id get a few tinder plus either a few cedar wood (great for starting fires) or fir wood (used for repairing or adding a few hours to a fire if you're desperate)
