How do I open a safe?

So I found a safe in the trappers lodge and I had no clue how to open it. I got the first pin correct but I have no idea how to procede after that, turning it just ruined my first setting. Anyone had any luck opening one of these?

Yes but I cracked the first number on the code and I didn't have a clue how to set it so I could try and find the other 2

after the first tumbler reverse the direction until the next tumbler and then reverse again and you will open the sfae.

It is random each game. Very easy, just like a real safe you go right of zero, left from first unlocked tumbler, then right after the second tumbler unlocks.

Best way is to find your first two bearings. I usually just hold down the right arrow until I hear a click (pay attention to the general area you hear the click and see unlock for first tumbler). Then reset it by heading left of zero and starting over again. Do this for each tumbler until you figure it out.

Each time you fail make sure to return past zero (left of zero). Just a matter of patience.

Well I like to save others the suffering. I felt like an armless person eating soup the first time I encountered the safe. I was hitting all the keys and jiggling my mouse.

Then I realized it required the direction arrows that I never ever use in games. :(

Use the arrow keys on your keyboard. Turn right (clockwise) until the first tumbler unlocks. Turn left for the second tumbler and right for the third. Make sure you pay attention to the combination in case you overshoot one of the tumblers and have to start over.

Well, I didn't need help, I just knew how to open spin lock. I just didn't know if I could hear the pins drop. But you can. You just gotta be patient and not pass over them.
