Memento cache notes on map permanent?

Found a note in a car in Milton, telling me to search behind the organ of the church.

Found a prybar round the side of the organ, a loose board on the front of the organ and got some goodies out of it, I took them all.

But the note is still on my map, does that mean I've not got everything, or are memento cache notes permanent on the map in survival mode?

In Wintermute, once you get the stuff from a cache the map note disappears so I was expecting this note to do the same.

Is this a bug I should tell the devs about, or is this just how it works in survival mode?

No one really knows, since these scribbled notes and memento caches are new to the game.

File a bug report, and if it isn't a bug and they are supposed to stay on the map they'll email you back at some point and say so. And if it is a bug, they'll work to get it fixed.

I'm probably too lazy to file a report to be honest, it's hardly a game breaking issue after all, I was just curious if it was working as it was supposed to.

I would be interested to see if other players memento cache notes are staying on their maps after they've got the items too though, or if it's just me.

To be honest, I don't look at the map very often. After completing Faithful Cartographer, I had enough of making charcoal maps, lol. Though I may start mapping again once I make it back over to the new region. If I remember, I'll check after I go grab the one in DP, which is where my survivor is right now.

I've noticed that the memento marker on the map gets a red mark behind it once you have found the cache. And the memento marker stays on the map permanently as far as I can tell.

I went back to look and the reddish mark was actually a rock cache symbol and was only on the memento location that was a rock cache. Nothing was changed on the other one that i had found. Sorry for the misinformation. But the markers have remained on the map throughout anyways.

All my memento markers have remained on the map after looting them. I am presuming that is the intended behavior.

I guess that settles it then, they stay on the map regardless of being looted or not.

Yes, did you make sure to check the visors? That's where these notes are most of the time.
