Are all fireplaces created equal?
So i was in the Camp Office the yesterday and needed to build a fire and cook some wolf that I just killed as well as boil some much needed water. I was wondering about the pot bely stove downstairs and the wood stove upstairs and couldn't decide which one to use. I chose the wood stove upstairs because I wanted to go to sleep afterwards. Who has a stove upstairs? It got me thinking that there must be a reason. does the wood stove create more heat and cook better or heat the building better? Of course it would, at least in Idaho it does. We had one in the basement growing up and it heated the entire house. You would think that since heat rises, that the wood stove would be downstairs to heat the building and the pot belly stove would be upstairs. Any thoughts?

It's Canada, they like you to be extra warm at no extra cost. ;)

In real life, you would probably have the upstairs burn at a very low rate, so it could last through the night, and keep you warm while sleeping.

I don't really see any other reason for it.

Heck, i kinda think the two stoves should be switched around, ie. the pot belly stove upstairs, since it's the smaller of the two, and the bigger one in the "kitchen" area.

As far as I know, there is no real difference between the two stoves in terms of the amount of heat they produce.

The only thing different is the parts of the house they heat up. Since almost all places have only one firepit its all the same.

But if you are living at the ML camp or PV Farmhouse, the stove used will heat up distinct areas more. For example, the kitchen stove in the PV farmhouse warms up the upstairs only on the one side where the chimeny comes up. While the Fireplace warms up the master bedroom.

I noticed we have been seeing more propane tanks on the outer buildings and at various places. Would it be possible to see this used as fuel of some sort later in game builds?

I think the heat model is basically a sphere around the stove.

I'd like to see differnt stoves/fireplaces are differnt traits. I'd like to be able to have slow burn woods etc as well.
