Is weather dependant on difficulty?
As the title says really. Is it just my bad luck that I'm getting hit with terrible blizzards for days on ends on Stalker or is the weather intentionally more harsh on the harder difficulty settings?

I don't think so. I have played on Voyaguer and the blizzards will sometimes go on for a few days. Even the heavy fog that comes lasts for a bit. I can't speak on the Pilgram mode though, but I would assume it has been toned down.

It may just be me, but it seems like I always get bad weather after I skin a deer/wolf/bear, etc., and am loaded down. I'm really wondering what kind of logic is behind the weather. In my view, severe blizzards should be farther apart, but more intense. Like you should have potentially several days of good weather, then all of a sudden, the **** gets real :)

the weather is nicer on pilgrim, i wouldn't say less blizzards, but the average tempature is warmer on a day to day basis...

I use the fog weather to collect all of the cattails and beards and rose hips (I have played to long, I know where most of them are in the dark). Stay close to the edge of the water or road and you'll be fine. On pilgrim or voyager I have not been attacked then, so I like that weather. I use the storms to make stockpiles of water and wood. I do find the weather milder in Pilgrim mode, though I didn't consciously pay attention to it; it's my recollection. I lay a trail to my most used fishing hut using cat tail heads, so in the really severe weather, when I might freeze to death, I can follow the trail back to the place I am squatting in. Very Hansel and Gretel of me, I know LOL.

The weather works like this atm. Stalker the weather changes frequently, Voyageur is a middle of the road change in weather, Pilgrim the weather changes slower.

There isn't anything setting a type of weather to happen more often than another in any of the experience modes. Just how frequently it changes.

Thanks for the confirmation, I must admit that 9 out of 10 times, harvesting an animal will cause the dreaded fog :)

Just a matter of luck. Lately, whenever I go to Unpleasant Valley, the weather becomes a howling blizzard and stays that way.

In addition to the frequency of weather change being modified by Experience Mode (we prefer to think of this not as "difficulty" in the traditional sense), the weather patterns do change between Regions. Pleasant Valley is higher up in the mountains and tends to be colder than the other regions, and has more storms. The Coastal Highway is a bit warmer in general, and you see more fog there...

This is an illusion. The temperature does not change based on your action. But, of course your "Freezing" bar will increase as you are outside over a protracted period of time. If it's warm enough, or you are (where your Feels Like is above freezing), then you should be fine.

In other words, the temperature is completely unrelated to your action. Your action is exposing you to the cold temperature.
