In fact, we just updated 15 minutes ago. Your issue is likely resolved. Please check and let us know!
^This is why I love you guys
I'm not the only one that is experiencing this - I know that you guys updated the sound files in the last content update - it's just somehow the sound controls don't control the footsteps at all.
I'm OK with this if I can turn footsteps off altogether and leave the other sounds on..
OR
have footsteps scale down using the in-game volume controls.
I'm happy to submit a log, specs, whatever you need to help your dev team.
-Respectfully - and - seriously - thank you --
I'm so ready to play again...
I'm not trying to say that the game is not playable - it just is for me - because I rely on the sound in addition to the visuals - sorry if I said it wrong before.
We have another fix coming tomorrow, that should address this!
tld_data > streamingassets > audio > generatedsoundbanks > windows
Should find footsteps .bnk and .txt there, just remove them from that folder to disable footsteps, recommend keeping them somewhere safe incase you want to restore.
