Report a translation problem
Rewarding struggles rather than kill reward the bad players more than the good ones.
I think every cougar charge dealing damage (with or without struggle) count toward the achievement.
If not that's indeed stupid af

If glancing attacks counts, the description is wrong. It would rather be "Take 25 Cougar Attacks". This is clear: "Survive 25 Struggles"

It is. It's like a chore GDs and Devs do 2 days before release. That's why they don't usually work properly as well.
There's some stuff done in studios without any thoughts nor reasons, just because "that must be done".

Still pretty grindy especially for needing to take damage
I can confirm this. I tried the glancing blows only and it didn't work. You could probably try to get 100 percent protection with the ballistic vest and armored clothes, but tanking that many lacerations at once is a run killer. I'm not even bothering with this achievement and 1000 days. Too tedious, too time consuming.
