50 Days silent hunter achievement
I was well on my way to getting the 50 days of not using a gun of any kind. Day 40 something, when an aurora struck, I was stalked by three wolves, and though I got myself safe in a hunters blind, I bled to death making a bandage.
Because I have cheated death on that file, will I still be able to achieve the 50 days no gun, or does the cheat death now reset that achievement?? It only says "first 50 days" and it doesn't say single game, but given how many achievements are single game I am worried I have just lost all that work.

I mean, what's the options.?If you were already on day 40+, then push through into the 50's and see if it pops. The only other option is to start over, which means another full 50 days. Might as well see if it works on the current save, before committing to 50 more days.

It's a grey area at the moment.
Push through for the remaining days. You could even just pass time and sleep if you have enough food from cattails for instance, lots of them in Forlorn Muskeg.

And if it didn't work, well you can try again and you learn two valuable lessons: always have a bandage on you (I usually carry 5 for unexpected sprain and still have enough for wolves) and avoid going out during auroras without a weapon or at least a lamptorch to scare wolves.
Also the achievement doesn't forbid the bow ;)

And if you already have the pacifist achievement or don't care for it you can "speedrun" the silent hunter one by just fishing with fishing tip ups, just harvest a lot of wood for the first few days, make 6 fishing tip ups and fish until you don't have enough wood to survive till the next safe area of the day, you don't need to carry the fish to camp office especially if you don't want to attract wolves.

Yeah - I'd used my bandages up stopping blood loss once (I was being stalked by a lot of them), and the wolves attacked a second time while I was lighting a fire. Which sucks so much. Two wolves at once while I was in the fire 'cutscene' was just rude.

a campfire doesn't protect against aurora wolves, only the flashlight can scare them, so better not go out without a bow.
Even starting to light a fire protects from a regular wolf though.

Well, Had the WORST RNG luck on that cheat death - Clearcut spawn with no pants, hat, gloves, or matches in a snowstorm. Made it to the logging trailers and slept a couple hours for condition, but it was a raging snowstorm outside. Managed to get myself to the Dam trailer where I have a stash, ate and drank my fill, before sleeping a for two hours and dying in my sleep for some unknowable reason.
Re-spawned again, made it to the trappers cabin where I also have the stash, and again, died in my sleep. (Full, drunk, and fire burning)
Last respawn made it to the Camp Office where my main stash is, and survived the night, obviously lost all my loot on the previous two deaths, and my health is so low to be laughable. Spent a couple days making rabbit and deer clothing before heading to my body point (Nothing but a ruined pair of pants in it).

But ....
the Days without shooting a gun time seems to have stopped at my first death.
