Otherwise I usually have the ear wraps and moose-hide satchel equipped.
They 're quite good when using ropes, crossing ice and to avoid sprains.
In interloper, you may want to do the switch to have more warmth.
Even on Stalker and Interloper the crampon degradation rate is meaningless, you can wear them all the time safely, the protection bonus outweighs the wrap's thermal bonus completely on Stalker and most of the time is an acceptable tradeoff on Interloper (although you'll want to prefer having both on you and use them situationally).
Simple tools + 1 piece of metal and you can have the crampons back in perfect condition
I'm also of this opinion. I've had improvised crampons in use almost non-stop for a hundred days in Stalker and they've only lost like 4% condition. They may wear down faster if you climb a lot though, haven't really done that since I've stayed in western parts of the island.
Maybe buff the ear wrap to 1,5 degrees to make up for it.
That say, they need to update the accessories mechanics, having so many different accesories now but still only 2 slots, of course one ALWAYS being taken by the satchel, is becoming stupid, there is no point adding more accessories if they don't increases the slots or changes the mechanic.
