Uneffected by wind
Like the title says, im at Forsaken Airfield, and there seems to just be back to back blizzards but the wind is not hindering me in any way, aside from windchill. I waited til it ended, and the normal wind was effecting me normally (seemingly). Is this a bug or is it just like that and ive never noticed

It is intended, during blizzard your movement is unaffected by the wind. Devs thought it would be too punishing for whatever reason.

weird, i couldve sworn its been slowing me down. Thank you
The funny thing is that the stronger the wind, the less it will hinder your movement. There is a certain wind speed that will slow you down significantly, but as the wind gets stronger, it slows you down less and less.

Sounds weird. I've always been significantly slowed down by the wind. Unless I travel with the wind, then I will pick up good speed...
same, but i couldve sworn the blizzards did as well, but i dont do much walking around in blizzards if i can help it so i just assume my memory is as bad as i think it is

Walking during blizzard can be a good idea because it will despawn predators, so if you can tank the cold damage and know where to go following a road or railtrack not to get lost.
Timberwolves can still be present though so watchout for them in regions where they can spawn.

It will despawn predators but only if you go through a transition / loading screen. If a blizzard breaks out while you are outside, the animals will stay - as I have found more than once recently in Forlorn Muskeg where I ran into a bear and moose during a blizzard. I stayed outside the entire blizzard and the moose close to the cave to BI didn't go anywhere.

wow really? this whole time I thought the wind capped out and once it got "stronger" it didn't push any harder. that it actually gets weaker as the blizzard moves in.... doesnt feel like it anyway.
I guess assumption really does dictate experience
