When a flock of crows fly off in a direction what does it mean?
I often see flocks of crows fly off and sometimes where afterwards i found a kill is this coincidence or is it just a added graphics for game atmosphere ?

Thank you!

IT MEANS RUN FOREST FUN!!!!! No I kid. You will find flocks of crows circling above something dead. I always found it increasingly helpful to follow crows when I was building my bow and arrows since the arrows need their feathers.

i read somewhere that they are indeed either flying toward a nearby corpse or away from an incoming storm...

Ah, interesting. I'll see if I can verify this next time I do a serious attempt.

they should implement hunting crows, that way we won't have to go corpse hunting to get feathers.

Not so sure about the storm they are escaping. Never could really verify if a storm fallow this event or how long after. I'll try to fallow them next time.

I have never seen a flock of crows flying towards a corpse to then adopt a holding pattern. In all my experience, they just appear circling over a corpse or carcass in relatively clear weather. Whenever a group of crows are just flying in a given direction, it almost always precedes a change for the worse in weather, as well as if their cries suddenly drops off but one is still in the vicinity of the corpse/carcass.

Am I correct that crows now circle animal kills as well as human corpses? (The pre-programmed animal kills, like the one near Trapper's -- not the animals that die after the game starts).

Yes they will circle the pre ravaged animal carcasses

It would be cool if you (or a wolf) killed a deer/wolf/bear etc, if crows headed towards the kill. :)
Also, why crows and not ravens? Ravens are the common birds of "the deep woods" in the P.N.W.
