Animal fat bug?

Does this always give you food poisoning no matter what? I have eaten it 5/6 times during my playthrough and every time it has made me sick. I'm on loper day 60ish and have so many mushrooms but food is scarce atm so I keep eating it anyway lol. I'm even level 5 cooking now and just got an animal fat with 900 calories so ate it and it has given me food poisoning again!!

It won't stop me eating it haha but just wondering if it's a bit buggy or it's intended to make you sick every time?

I assume it is a very high risk, imagine eating butter alone, you'd get sick for sure.
Try a starvation tactic if you're low on food, only eat enough to last a 10h nap just before going to sleep.

Ahh ok thanks, yeah makes sense just had to ask. I've had the well fed bonus since day 3 so i'll keep eating it if there's a big calorie one and just cure with mushrooms. I think they must of nerfed Mystery lake since I last played... Not a lot of animals around and can't find many sticks even after blizzards! Think i'll have to move on soon

It may be dependent on game difficulty, condition of fat or even portion size. I'm on Stalker currently, ate small portions like 3-4 times, got sick only once. Or may be you simply got unlucky. As for the animals they seem more randomized after the update. When I arrived at Coastal Highway, there were very few predators, but several days later, it's full of wolves and bears like it was before.

I've noticed sticks, branches, and limbs seem to respawn on a timer instead of after a blizzard now. Might be related to making logs more reliable for the safehouse customization.

I opened the merchant trade and survived for 180 days, but every time I picked up the walkie-talkie, I only had the "end call" option, and the bug that the cured meat box consumed salt but did not marinate the meat, and the game would freeze when crouching and using the cougar claw knife.
Please fix these bugs as soon as possible.
