To me the interiors are light enough to search during daytime, but still dark enough, so that to find all the hidden stuff behind couches or underneath tables, requires a light.
At one time, I tried to see if higher brightness would improve on visibility indoors, but that had negligible effect and going outdoor made things way too bright.
I resort to remembering layouts and using visible landmarks, like 'visible' windows, to get around. Works reasonably well until the windows go dark.
Standard settings.
I find that default is way too dark for me.
If it were the middle of the day in winter, I should be able to see everything indoors but at the default brightness, I cant :/
