Have you just checked that the keybind didn't get reset?
When they pushed that big update it reset all of my settings, keybinds, graphical settings, audio settings.
I'm fairly confident it did this to everyone as I watch Zaknafein sometimes on youtube and I've seen in his first video after the update, he notices that his audio settings are all different as well as his sensitivity, and had to rebind his autowalk.

So TL:DR just make sure its bound, go to keybinds in your settings :)
Yes to the following 1) I play on PC 2) I go to Key Bindings 3) I have tried to reset KB to default with poor results.
Thank you for asking

My 'Z' auto-walk is also not working, and I also checked my keybindings and went to the accessibilty option to turn WALK on. :steamsad:

update: auto-walk now works after checking settings in TLD (all were correct), backing out of the game and Steam (after saving) and then re-starting my PC. Annoying but it worked for me.

Please everyone: Read the Community Page Hub from Hinterland as it has lots of information regarding the recent update:
AUTOWALK NO LONGER WORKS
Some players may have found their settings changed after updating, which deactivates the Autowalk setting.

To re-enable this setting, please visit Options > Accessibility > Autowalk > Enable, and verify that the Autowalk key binding is set correctly under Options > Key Bindings.

Hopefully this comment will help someone in the future. I'm playing The Long Dark on Steam with the Asus ROG Ally. Auto walk would not work for me no matter what I tried. After looking through menu after menu, I realized that Steam Input was turned on for The Long Dark. The fix for me was to turn of Steam Input for The Long Dark. Auto walk works for me now.

how do you turn off the Steam input? I've tried everything else in this thread but nothing works.

To disable Steam Input, go into the game properties -> Controller -> Override -> Disable.

Problem is, Steam is horribly buggy and broken (even more so after the recent update, but that's another story). I've actually had to disable my controller type entirely by hacking Steam's config.vdf file as mentioned in this comment:

Since I did that, my controller worked just fine, because TLD and most of my other games support it natively.
