Pleasant valley hatchet locations?

Having real trouble finding a hatched in pleasant valley. Survived for around 2 weeks on stalker now but unless I can harvest wood or meat soon I'm going to run out of resources pretty fast. I've searched all the buildings in the area and tried to find as many corpses as I can, almost all of them have had a crowbar.

I've had some luck finding it in and around sheds, sometimes stuck in vertical beams. Check the fishing hut to the east of the farmhouse also.

It's really frustrating because I appreciate loot is random and that stalker is more sparse than other game modes but it's almost impossible to get a long run without the hatchet. Found the rifle on the 2nd day and at one point I had over 20 rounds for it but I really prefer the bow for hunting. I know where the saplings are to cut down but just can't get to them at the moment.

yes. from farmstead go to heartbreak bridge. as soon as you exit the bridge turn right 90 degree. pass the ruined barn, the one with the corpe, and keep going that direction over the river...

I started a run once in PV with the intention of staying there as long as possible. However, unable to find the hatchet, I was forced to leave through the mine after a couple of days. This was before v256. I have found the hatchet in PV in other runs sticking in vertical beams of the green barns, as sockpuppet already said. For sure in the green barn next to the Farmstead. I also have a dim memory of finding a hatchet near the corpse at the end of long curve, but I might be confusing that with another corpse.

I eventually found one on a random corpse miles away fromt the farmstead. After the v256 update I'd say the hatchet is the most important item in the game.
