Getting back to Mystery Lake from Pleasant Valley
Spoilers!!







While exploring the Hydro Dam, I went out the back door and found that I couldn't get back in. I proceeded down the river towards the cave. I made a terrifying trip through this cave and found myself in Pleasant Valley. My question is: How the hell do I get back to Mystery Lake? All my supplies are back in the Lake Cabins.

Has anyone found a good route?

Go back same route. When you're back in the door you can't enter back, look around. You see a hole in fence. Go through it to the ledge of the dam. Walk carefully across and go through yard, up to the windows and enter back to the dam. :)

Damn it, I have walked right up to that spot and never noticed an entry point... now I have to go look lol

Double damn it!!! I just did the same exact thing! I didn't have a bedroll or coffee so I just kept pressing forward and found that same terrifying cave. I guess I'll just gear up again and head back. I wasn't quite done with the area, either.

Triple damnit! Did that too. Pressed on, started exploring Pleasant Valley, overly geared up. Left a huge stockpile of food and crafting materials back by the Lake, and had more exploring to do. Guess I know what I'm doing after I'm done with the Valley.

I had the same problem (had to survive near death for days) but i decided to stay in PV at the Farmstead and explore "Signal Hill" (i found some really usefull items).
Now i'm planning the travel to Coastal highway (maybe i will stay there and move a bit to Desolation Point), i'm working on wolf coat and slowly moving my stuff to "rural crossroads" so it will be easier to come back and take more stuff next time.
Didn't know that was possible to go back to ML.

Do you mean on Carter hydro dam & environs, right? When get out you can't back in. Are there any other way to back into hydro dam? Are there anything interesting outside?
Garda wrote that path takes you to Pleasent Valley. I wont to go there right now, my next map is Coastal highway.

That one way door to PV is a killer for new players. I don't get why they don't add more warning then the graphics on the door.

HAHA that got me too.... Now I've pretty much found everything in PV and am holed up in the Farmstead, slowly caravaning supplies to the barn. I think I'll hit up ML to get all my crap that I stored in the dam, then hit up CH. Good LUCK
