You could try and find a windproof spot outside the hangar (although the game will probably cause the wind to change once you find that spot and light the fire!)
There's also a maintenance shed near the hangar which may also provide a windproof spot to light a quick fire.
Finally, if you have matches or a flare, you could use that to navigate downstairs in the hangar and also light the fire.
Otherwise use the time to loot as much of the hangar as you can and wait until morning.
And to top it all of, I got food poisoning from a candy bar which is a first.
edit: I have almost 600 hours in this game so this is really mostly ranting and not asking for advice. ;) Thanks anyway.
With the fire lit there, can enter the door, but can go outside or end over the fire.
Other than this, only in the small shed across the runway - in front passenger terminal; you can make fire protected by wind.
No, in any place of this open hangar the wind will blow off the fire during blizzards.
FAA Circulars and NFPA standards are not the law -- you won't be thrown in jail for not following the guidance. Just don't expect peers, customers, or airport administration to want to do business with you if you engage in risky behavior
