Deerskin pants and shoes/boots in progress
Hi people. So after much cheeky snagging of wolfs kills in easy difficulty after 20 days no rifle found. Anyway, I craft the cured hides and guts into deerskin pants and boots, and now it just says in progress. I put them in the floor of my hideout thinking they had to cure but that didnt fix it where did I go wrong or miss a step?

Take them back to inventory, go to workbench, you need to adjust TIME on the right, when you making something.

They take lots of time to complete, more than you can do in one session. So set it to spend like 3 hours (eat and drink first!) hit begin crafting and do this several times. You will probably have to do it over two or three days because of fatigue.

Why does it ask for all the materials again when I try to continue?

It doesn't immediately use up the materials as soon as you start crafting. The materials get used gradually over the entire crafting time, so if you stopped right in the middle of the full craft time, then half the materials would be gone and the rest still in your inventory.

Yeah, the bench will default to a .5 hour of time. You have to increase it. The clothing all takes several hours of crafting. You won't be able to finish most things in one day without using a light source...and lots of coffee. So it is designed to be spread out over several days.

Be warned...crafting time does count towards getting cabin fever. So be mindful of how much you are spending indoors.
