Weak spots upon a wolf/bear
I know this game is spot on in every aspect but im curious to go deeper into its mechanics and such, say you come across a bear/wolf and you are armed to the teeth with either the .303 rifle or hunting bow. When shooting said bear/wolf the head is always a vital spot but i was wondering if there are other parts of the animals body of which are weak, say the legs or ribs. To see where im getting at, currently i see that the head is always deadly and the body is a bit chancey. Sort of like fallout's system where you zoom upon an enemies body to see the best spot to hit and the amount of damage it does (all depending on the range between you and your target). Im not asking for a system like fallout's to be implemented but for insight onto how much damage can be inflicted to certain areas of wolf/bears body.

I appreciate all feedback and in return you can have some :snack:

I never aim for the head, always for the heart/lungs. If done correctly it is a one shot kill on both bears and wolves. Finding the heart on the bear isn't easy though, I must be honest about that. I don't shoot the head because I wouldn't do this in real life either. If I only injure it (very rare) I will always chase it down. Not because I have to but to put the poor animal out of its misery. Maybe the developers can give a little more insight, but your question interests me as well.

The one improvement that's been made is that wolves appear to run slower the more gravely injured/closer to death they are. I've got one with an arrow, have it run away then gradually slow down to a walk with its head pointed to the ground. I was standing right in front of it and it didn't attack again.

The waiting time to have before the animal dies have significally decresed to about a third of what it was.( easer to find animal when lesser time will pass.)

I agree it's much better than it was. No mammal runs at full speed while bleeding to death the whole time. Eventually they will end up like the player on very low condition; slow, blurred vision and disorientated before eventually dropping to the floor.
