Sewing Kits and Fur Clothing
Is it intentional for the sewing kits to be consumed so rapidly when making things like the wolf coat/buckskin pants etc? Mine went from 85% to 23% from the buckskin pants. It's kind of alarming lol, because I have only found 2 sewing kits so far and they are non-renewable.

It would be cool if bone needles and sinew threads were added for homemade sewing kits. :)

You can craft line and a Hook to replace the sewing kit , on every repair 10% of 100% lost of the hook.
Save your sewing kit for the very end game.

On the other hand, you only ever need to craft one set of these clothes, so it's not like it's some huge loss. So you burn one or two sewing kits to make the four pieces of crafted clothing. It's not like they're super uncommon or something.

This used to be an issue before adding the fishing equipment to repair and make clothes. Only in very long runs it still was an issue before the last update. Now with the hacksaw to harvest scrap metal it is no longer an issue at all. Adding more items would be realistic, but very unnecessary. Either you have been very unlucky with sewing kits or you didn't search well enough ;). I found like 3 or 4 in Mystery Lake alone, not to mention the amount of scrap metal and thread to make the fishing equipment.

Yeah, I mean my best run so far has been 245 days (still going) and I'm sitting on maybe 8 spare sewing kits if not more. Plus a metric ton of fishing tackle. So no, I'd venture to say that unless you're going for 1,000 days, sewing kits are not going to be a major issue.

I just craft velcro at the forge for my clothing...This way I can have my rip off pants.
