So...how big is the map for this game?
I mean, it's a survival game where with no "ending" so I wonder if there's anything left to do if it was linear, (which I hope it's not).

Hi Chris, right now we're at about 30 square kilometers among four regions and a variety of transition zones. The experience is really only as "linear" as you choose to make it. I would say it's not linear at all in the way we often talk about other games. It's really up to you and how you choose to approach the world in order to survive.

But there's definitely a lot to explore!

Is it like skyrim or do you have to reach the four different regions through bottle neck passageways?
The transition zones link the various regions together in different ways. And yes there are "passageways" in parts of them but I think you'll see as you explore that these areas take on a character of their own. Although the Skyrim comparison doesn't really work in our case, as the technology is different, I will say that the different regions load individually when you enter them. If I'm not mistaken that is what you are referring to with that comparison.

I really don't want to spoil it for you, as discovery is a big part of the experience. Here's a video we released last month that might give you a nice feel for where the game's been and where's it's heading. http://hinterlandgames.com/the-long-dark-one-year-anniversary-on-steam/
