Does frozen meat spoil?
Does meat still spoil in a frozen carcass?

If so, what's recommended in order to maximize it's durability?
Should I harvest the meat immediately or better wait a few days?

Thanks for your help

Yes i does, best is to harvest the sooner the better, and to cook when near 50% to bring it back to 100% (cooking get it's condition up by 50%)

Ravaged dear however, start to spoil the moment you clic on them, so you can keep them until an emergencie if needed. I usualy use them to craft boot/pants early game.

actually. Ravaged deer start to spoil the moment of discovery, even if it is at a distance

hmmm, I will have to test this more, I've let some waiting for weeks and I could still harvest something out of it

Yep. For some reason, the natural below freezing temperatures does NOT keep meat cold. Freezer burn perhaps? Heheh. But this is ok, it prevents us from getting too comfortable after racking up maybe 150kg of meat and never having to hunt for about 30 weeks.

Sure would be a boring game though. Store enough food and water and do a sleeping beauty-not my cup of tea.

Agreed,
but it's nothing you'd expect intuitively.

I look at this and other games like a good fantasy novel-the author get to make the rules-if the rules are too unbelievable, I quit reading. Haven't put this one down since June.

Same thing with rabbits. If you set up a bunch of rabbits traps outside your house, and sleep through the night and go back to the traps, all of the rabbits will be lying dead in the traps and be 0% frozen. This allows you to skin the animal without using any tools.
