ALL ABOVE ARE LIES! There is no difference, devs have stated so, only difference is the voice and the exact words said.
In all seriousness though, I would much rather listen to a female voice. Something feels right about it, maybe it's rooted in my instinct as a straight dude, but whenever I hear a woman feeling threatened out there it has a significantly higher impact than a dude, and I feel that in this game.
The voice acting is phenomenal for both genders, it's just that I've grown so used to the female VOs that I don't think I could deal with the male character anymore.
You know, I actually agree with the whole personal hygiene element, but would everybody? Not only for the female character, but for the male one too. No. 1 and 2, + that for the chicks
It would be something i'd definitely add to my "unbalanced, mod should add it" list and i'd deal with with adverse situation myself heh heh. I feel the same potential for mods in this game than I do in Fallout, where I add my own spice with mods to cover "immoral" and unbalanced things. Totally worth it being pregnant and irradiated with a nuke shootin' bb gun! ;)
Thank you for answering! The voice acting is great btw.
I agree with Hinterland about strength and stamina.
In all honesty, yes I would 10/10 deal with having to look out for bodily needs in a survival game, including the excess burden of a female's reproductive cycle, even if that makes playing the female character "harder" than the male one. But that's just my "purist" preference, I would rather enhance things even at the cost of balance or difficulty to better suit a certain degree of realism or lore-related fun. Or perhaps just because something's immoral, really.
All that said, I will always, only play female in sandbox, due to the only difference between the two that's been there from the beginning: Jennifer Hale's voice acting. You can fight like a wolf, run like a leopard, but you'll *never* be better than Commander Shepard!
I should go. ;D
