If you don't have an account on the online forums, I will (once again) recommend that you create one. Raph and other studio members are much more active there, and I am guessing they will post there first when they have a set date for the merch store reopening. Want that mug? Being a few minutes ahead of everyone else who wants one might be a good idea. Just saying.

I don't think there will be a shortage of TLD/Hinterlands merch this time, from what Raph has said sounds like they've stocked quite a lot more merch and plan to keep the store open more regularly, rather than under-ordering like in the past and it going out of stock immediately.

To be clear, we never intentionally "under order". We closed the store for years due to COVID, and then when we did a pop-up to clear out old inventory, it all sold almost immediately. In the years since the store closed, the audience for the game had also grown so there is more interest and demand now, which we're grateful for.

In the old pre-COVID days we always had enough merch for the demand, and we'll do our best to keep ahead of the new demand as best we can.

You can always pay in installments through "Shop"[shop.app] if they still accept that. They did when the popup was open.

Got the game in 2019. I signed up for the Hinterland Forums and my account disappeared. Same thing with the newsletter: signed up 2 or 3 times now and no alerts. It's why I missed getting the mug at the pop-up shop.

This time around...? There won't be enough mugs. I can't be on my phone waiting in an online queue for the store to open to try in vain to get a mug (before the bot accounts buy them all) while I'm at work.

It'll be the Aliens: Bug Stompers (Reebok shoes) all over again.

Is there a date when the merch shop will be available again?

For the past two years, I've been trying, like many other fans, to get my hands on one or two items, and it would be really cool to enjoy a cozy round of The Long Dark with coffee in a "proper" mug! ;)

The only information available right now is in the linked thread on the online forums, linked in the Original Poster's thread topic. Hinterland will update us with an announcement when the merch store reopens.
