How do I save my game?
Sorry, new here. When I hit "Quit" to leave the game for a while it told me that any unsaved data would be lost, but I'm not sure if I have any saved data? I don't see any option to save the game where I am or anything. Does it just save when you sleep? I thought maybe it autosaves but the prompt about "any unsaved data will be lost" made me think otherwise.

I just left my game running overnight because I was afraid to lose the progress I had :P haha. Is there any way to save the game? Please tell me there is D:

It autosaves every time you enter a structure with a loading screen or when you sleep. You can see the autosave happening - a circular symbol will appear on the right side of your screen for a second or so.

The game isn't very clear about this, Ive noticed it saves after certain actions, like as you said sleeping. I've also seen it save after going outside, and I think after being attacked by a wolf.

Stay in car until wolves go away.

One tip - crouch before entering car. This way you'll be crouched after exiting the car and wolves will have harder time detecting you.

Also WTH? You necroed an old thread LOL

Expect to encounter a wolf outside every exit and CROUCH before you exit. Good luck!

Just to repeat the others because I feel like contributing

1. When you sleep
2. When you pass time
3. When you enter or leave a structure
4. When you are attacked by wildlife and a struggle happens

So don't bother reloading if you get mauled by a bear, that schitt is saved.

You forgot: when you snap your wrist or ankle walking on a slope

(that you could probably never actually snap your wrist on in real life but thats okay because reasons)

Just wanted to add to this curiously re-re-necroed thread

I bought this game close to early access launch a couple years ago for 20$, albeit a much more primitive version of the game. I STILL sunk +50hrs into it back then before moving on to other things.

Thoroughly impressed by the new content added since I've last played.

Sufficed to say I'm excited to start a new sandbox on the latest version and see what the last few years of updates have to offer!

Thanks guys for the "saving" info haha
