Mountaineer ropes in Timberwolf Mountain
Now that Whiteberry has published a first version of his awesome maps for Timberwolf Mountain here : http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=530202531, it appears that there are 4 spots where you can tie a rope to rappel down.

However, I've only found two extra ropes so far (one in the Mountaineer's Hut, one in a wooden crate in the tail section of the plane at the Summit, IIRC). Has anyone found more, maybe in other maps ?

Ultimately, I'd like to attach rope wherever possible, or at the very least, enough to have the shortest way from the Mountaineer's Hut to the Summit, as I've left quite a lot of supplies up there.

:) Your Awesomeness is Awesome! I have been playing with the ropes, moving them around to find the fastest way. This Map will help immensely, Thx.

I found a rope attached to a rock ontop of a mountain in the same map so I guess that makes 3 ropes?

Its on the mountain cliff near an engine, when you look directly down from the left of the mountain you will see the engine, if you move a bit to the right you will find the rope on a rock.

The best path I know of is 5 rope climbs. Takes about 24 hours game-time(including a short nap in a cave) to go up, get gear from the tail, and make it back to the mountaineer's hut.

To make it to the summit easier I recommend taking the rope from the secluded self, then going through the cave and attach the rope to the nearest climb down and then use the rope from the cabin to do the waterfall climb

I did exactly that but took the rope straight north of the tailsection rope and placed on the waterfall climb. All in one trip.

This leads to a maximum of 3 climbs to get to the tailsection. There's no need to use ropes on andre's peak and the one south of that because you waste less energy going around them.

There are three ropes near the top. One in the cave just below the Summit, one in the cave on the summit and one in a crate in the Tail Section.

My route takes around 4 in game hours from the mountainer's hut to the summit, mind you I play on Pilgrim so I go straight through 2 bear dens and 3 wolf spawns... So maybe not the best route for voyageur or stalker...

try going behind the wing and over the fallen tree, you'll need to have made it to the summit once before to place ropes

I have four extra ropes, but don't remember if they are found or ones I pulled off of rapelling locations. Right now the only ropes I use are the ones that lead to the summit as I've found alternate ways up & down the other locations... I'm not much help, am I?

It would be interesting if we could move rocks to make our own rope-drop sites. We might also find out if some of the ropes are too short... :steamfacepalm:
