That was precisely my feeling but you just said it the clearest way. At least if we're talking about travois as a mean to carry loot and gear.
Travois as mean to carry game is another question. Useful IMO when bear bleeds out and dies at the other end of the map.
im basically done using it outside my main map besides 1 trip to Milton ill make soon , its just perfect for easy hunting trips easily moving everything back in one go
i think that some of us , me included , have simply misunderstood what the travois is for in TLD and took us a min to realize that :D
Just beware of slopes (bc clipping through the ground) and weak ice
Inventory is the worst enemy in every survival game, anything that expands it become the best addition in the entire game. I can't imagine going back to a Long Dark without the well fed bonus, the better bag in ash canyon, the moose satchel and the holsters.
Before adding the well-fed bonus, me and many players would starve to ration food and because we have nothing to lose but now we have a very good reason to eat regularly. I hope they'll bring something similar for thirst or sleep
I used the travois extensively during a recent stay in TWM for just that purpose.
