But there is no way to throw knives, or kill wolves with one stroke of your crowbar ... or something like this ... you're not Rambo ...
So just assume you already drew your weapon ... you could also assume that you already did the first blow ... it's not like it'd make any difference, wolves are not gonna drop dead because of one strike (except in Liam Neeson Movies) ... but granted the only weird part is that wolf actually never throw you down "on the ground" ...
Swinging a Crowbar/Hatchet can easily be lethal to a Wolf. More than enough to render it unconscious, wound it or discourage it.
If there is no difference between drawing a weapon and striking with it, then you come at me I'll pound your head in with a drawn Crowbar and then see how you go about hitting me with your weapon in your backpack lol.
Everytime I read something like this, I ask myself - are you all experienced in this field, or were does this expertise come from? Have you ever even struggled with a playful dog? Not a puddle or puppy, but a mastiff? Do you really understand, what you write? Just my thoughts...
If a Bear attacked me, I'd sure as hell want a Axe in my hand as opposed to nothing at all.
Police swat and army soldiers have troubles with dogs and they learn how to deal with it, but you think you can just punch a wolf...
Even if you have some tactics against this attacks you will fck up, because this wont be a game and if this thing will happen:
1.You will panic
2.You will feel real pain
Now, think that you are the hero you play. Think that you feel this cold, exhausted - and then, a wolf attacks you. Yeah right, you will punch it in it's fcking face and it will die instantly.
P.S. Sorry for bad language.
Woah! Well if you can deal with bear, then you can deal with truck!
Not really, it might be "Screwed up" by owning a Real-Life Sled Dog (Samoyed) ... except I'd replace "being screwed up" by "fathom how my own dog could kill me anytime, but thankfully is not going to"!
So sorry if I'd consider wrestling with a real Wolf laughable, if I'm not that sure I could survive a serious struggle with my own "relativly small" Samoyed ...
A few things wrong with your argument, well one big thing actually, it's not relevant at all.
I never said anything about "Punching" a Wolf.
Would I panic, with a packet of matches in my hand, Yes. With an formidable Melee weapon, No.
What the hell does that have to do with this discussion ?
How the hell does it not ... if you don't have a chance against a domesticated dog ... how do you expect to take the first blow against a grown wolf ...
PS : It also shows at least some "experience" ... even if it's far-fetched ... but did you ever wrestle with a (large) dog, or even wolf ... if so, your hyptothesis might have some merit & pls share ... otherwise, meeh ...
Did I say I could deal with a Bear, No.
I suggest you read my comment and then read it again and again because you are not getting any of it.
"If I don't stand a chance against a domesticated dog"
Your words, not mine.
Well ... what's your experience in that matter ... do you own a dog (or even wolf-hybrid), do you play with (large) dogs on a regular basis, were you attacked by someone elses dog ... etc ?
Sorry but I'm handling dogs for 20 years now ... 10 years of owning larger sled-dogs ... and if someone would tell me to attack a (for some some reason agressive) dog with a crowbar ... I wouldn't stop laughing for ~30min ... ~60min for wolves :P
