They surely didn't introduce scurvy without giving us something renewable that contains Vit-C.
Hmm interesting, so that sounds like there's no renewable source of Vit-C then. So in the end we'll all die of scurvy... ?
I hope not. That breaks long-term survival completely - I'd disable scurvy in every custom game I play if that's the case (or wait for a mod to fix that nonsense). I am hoping that there are renewable sources but it was left out as it might take some time for a player to be in a position to get those renewable sources if you are not ready for it. For example, some fish has Vitamin C but if you are not someone who fishes, it might take time to get cured guts, make hooks, get to a fishing spot etc. and if you ate all the non-renewable food already because you're in a late game save, then you're basically stuck rushing to try and prevent scurvy.
Does anyone know what food items have Vitamin C? Use spoiler tags if so. Thanks.
Rosehip tea (and rosehip pie)
Peaches (and peach pie)
Tomato soup
Carrots
Potatoes
Ketchup chips
Some or all of the stews?
Maybe burdock tea?
Maybe acorns?
Anything else...?
Fish and Birch Bark Tea gives Vitamin C
Oh is that right? Well that's fine then.
