In the wiki multipile people are talking about how it killed them. But they only did something wrong and something else killed them right? I just got food poisoning and want to save the meds and wait it out. Is it save to do so?

When you have only 15% condition left, it's easy to die.
You should not save the meds, it's not worth it, there are enough med and the antibiotics decay and can't be used once at zero so use them.
Reishi tea dont decay I think but there are plenty of them also.

Once you reach cooking level 5, you cant get food poisonning anymore (except if you eat raw meat) so antibiotics are wasted if you dont use them before.

Once you're level 5 in cooking the only use of reishi tea are for calorie and warmth if you heat them.

The OP is asking whether it is safe to let the affliction continue untreated until it passes. Is it safe? I will define safe as "can I just ignore it"? The short answer is no though it is possible to survive without treatment. It is your choice among the alternatives, so choose wisely for death in TLD is final.

I think most people who have the meds available would choose to deal with the affliction and get on with their game. Antibiotics or reishi tea is not all that hard to come by.

Food poisoning, intestinal parasites, infection (e.g. wolf bites and bear maulings), and dysentery are about the only things, I recall, whose treatment would include antibiotics. I am sure if I missed anything that someone will post about it.

OP- if you have full condition (HP 100%) you *may* be able to survive waiting it out with no antibiotic. As long as you have full condition, and nothing else going on that is draining condition. But you will have really low condition afterward, if you survive. So you survive with 15% condition, and step outside to go gather wood and encounter a bear or wolf?
You are going to not do so well... RIP.
