Anyone else have problems with bears not spawning in new game?

I started a new game when the DLC came out but it appears that almost no bears spawned in their usual places. I saw one in ML, so I thought maybe it was just that they hadn't spawned in a few places I normally see them, however, now I've been across multiple maps and I haven't seen a 2nd bear yet. I went into a few caves to look for them and the bones are there like normal when a bear occupies a cave, but no bear.

Is anyone else experiencing this? I have Melon Loader installed in my game, however, I have no mods connected with it, just melon loader.

Basically the same for me. Started a new save after the update, currently 80 days in and traveled across half the maps. Haven't seen a single bear but 3 Mooses.
Even went into bear caves with bones in them...

I started a new save and have seen several. I don't really have evidence to indicate there's any missing for me.

Same for me. I started my current save about three real-life months ago. There used to be plenty of bears. Now, there don't seem to be any.

Thanks. I saw someone post that. I didn't realize it was a known issue. I'll have to read the "known issues" part next time. Oops.

I just hope the "porch bear" spawns for me in PV. ^^

That and the bear that walks in front of the workers' cabins in BI. My character is lazy and doesn't like to travel far to hunt.

Just finished Buried Echoes (and Signal Void b/c I didn't keep a save from the first time through on that). Started FA, back through the rail areas to ML and Signal Void spots. No bears in ML, PV, BI. But maybe Rudiger's device is f'ing with me and I just don't remember right...
