I did, however, have a problem with a wolf over by the Long Falls area. I shot him with my revolver on my way to the cave system over there, and when I came back through he wasn't bleeding anymore. I shot him again and went down to sleep out the night at the Angler's Den. When I returned the next day he was back without a scratch on him, so I shot him AGAIN. This time, I stayed in the area and passed some time until he bled out. I am very confident that it was the same wolf, since I searched the area very thoroughly after I finally killed him and couldn't find any other carcasses.
I think maybe me unloading the area was causing the animal to regenerate or something? I haven't had this issue with any of the other wolves at AC so Idk what to think about it.
Probable the cause of issue, I shoot a wolf near Angler's Den, he run away bleeding, I go for cabin, next day he are around in good health.
Make a fire inside the close area of Miner's Folly barn, shoot the bear and wait there.

I had to use the flare gun in my case because I wasn't L5 at Archery yet so couldn't shoot at him with the bow while crouched.
What is concerning me is... are there any "outside" caves in Ash Canyon that have a warmth bonus on Interloper? I don't mean a cave that is slightly less cold but a cave that is legitimately warm. I have found 4 or 5 caves and they were all still cold even with day 100 clothing (bear coat, combat/deer pants, rabbit gloves/hats, etc.). Cabin fever could be an issue soon and I don't trust the weather/fire here enough to sleep for more than an hour or two at a time.
Also, try the open-ended cavelet that is east of Foreman's and south of Miner's Folly, a very short walk up from both locations - there's a makeshift bed "inside". I slept there almost every night, sometimes even without the bear roll, no wolves nearby, CF-free, and a very short way back inside in case you need to.
If you're closer to Angler's/Bitter Marsh, use the ruined fishing hut with the pot belly stove (can't be blow with the wind) to curve CF. The stick economy around the area is very solid and can sustain you even during multiple day blizzards.
And use Climber's Cave when you're in the high plateau down from High Meadow, or when using the Deer Clearing entrance.
It's almost as warm as being inside a small cabin/hut!
Near the cave for TMW are a short "tunnel" that is very warm and allow cure guts.
Is after you jump from a rock over another bellow over a canyon (a one way path), for access the Runway Bridge. Not sure but think that after this bridge are another these tunnel.
The first thing I did was crouch down to add some charcoal to my map and boom! the bear found me. Mauled (for the first time in a long time) but not badly, I patched myself up and without even resting to recover condition, went and killed the bear.
I have now found the Foreman's Retreat, harvested all of the bear, got its skin curing on the floor and, for the first time since I arrived in AC, now I am feeling relaxed about being here. Time to do some cooking, before getting a good night's sleep to get that condition back!
I really don't think that this bit of exploration would be nearly so memorable with that bear attack. Being on Day 694, I am so very glad I survived it relatively unscathed!
