dead bodies around the map
can we get an option to like bury them in a grave or something? I can't stand having to sleep with a corpse a few feet from my bed every time

Been asked for, for years, in the Wish List subforum. Where you should be posting requests like this. (That's what that subforum is there for, and the devs monitor it for requests, while they miss requests in the fast rolling general discussions subforum here.)

Could be As The Dead Sleep pt 2 one day, lol. "Lost missionary must bury all bodies on the map in order to find meaning in a world god let go."

Heck no. Listen, Terry, the guy in the ML Camp Office is a great storage container. I keep all my teas in there. I've given him the nickname Terry "Tea Bag" Malone and I'm not giving him up just so you can sleep better at night!

I mean sure he doesn't have the greatest trunk space, and I'm not sure where he keeps the stuff I give him, but we've got a real don't ask, don't tell policy going on. Oh and he's great for parties, I came home late one night and you could tell he had quite the night! He was all drunk and passed out in the same corner he's always in.

I've always called him Jim-Bob, and use him as my "waterboy" when he's there. I kind of miss him when he's not there. He can hold a decent amount of bottled water. And the mandatory Stale granola Bar that all corpses should have in their pocket. He's nice company. Never makes a ruckus, never steals my stash of cattails, never gets up and bangs on walls at night. He's a nice quiet fellow.

But, to be serious, I do understand why some people want to be able to remove the corpses in buildings. I can leave Jim-Bob there, they can burn calories and run their fatigue meter down, with wolves circling them and trying to rip their faces off, while they try to dig ground that is frozen solid. I think it may be very technically challenging for Hinterland to add this feature, especially with needing to create animations and art for it, that works anywhere in the game world that has "diggable" ground (soil, not stone). You can't dig a human size hole without leaving some marks...

True, but I'd rather be able to clean off the counters... Some people see a rotting corpse, I see shelf space. Mostly I was trying to be funny though. To each their own.

Funeral pyre

Nice idea, that would be a resource sink for sure. It could require a lot of tinder and wood to build and maybe be like the crafting where you can come back to it (in case of a blizzard or whatnot).

I see another badge/feat! Corpse Hunter - Burning 300 bodies has made you a friend among the dead. You can now store twice as much in corpses you find.

That's an epic feat. LOL

They are an invaluable resource as they provide crow feathers for crafting arrows. If you bury them then no more feathers so you will eventually starve.
That unless they implement a way to hunt crows with arrows. That would be awesome.

*still hoping for a crude bola or slingshot for that very purpose...)
Lol. That idea has been brought up over the years in the Wish List subforum so many times. I suspect that we will never see that added to the game. But, we can still hope, right?

Or throwing stones at them. Works with bunnies, right? That would be hundreds of hours of good clean fun trying to hit something so small from so far away :D

*She stands- throwing stones at birds, while Old Grumpy Bear sneaks up behind her*

Can we ride a corpse down a mountain ala Homer Simpson in the Murderhorne episode of the Simpsons?

not inside they don't; I don't really care about corpses out in the snow.
