How long will a wolf stalk you for?
Just wondering how long a wolf will stalk you for until it starts charging you.

it will charge you if it gets too close. It can happen that they get too close because you ran away which will make them run as well and they can catch up with you.
It can stalk you for pretty long, they usually have a territoty and will follow you if you are in the same area where they detected you.
If they lose sight of you because of a hill, they may lose interest.
If you want them to actively flee, make a fire or light a torch/flare and use a rock or any weapon to aim at them when near the fire.

I've noticed that if you walk away far enough, and you never let it get within charge range, it will simply give up and turn around if it loses LoS with you.

Just had a wolf do this to me in the HRV valley. It stalked me at the west end, and I just casually walked away from it eastward across the whole valley. Before I got to the end I rounded a boulder and it turned around and walked back.

Don't look at it though, TLd predators have a weird way of turning towards you to stalk if you glance in their general direction...

Do wolves move slower when they walk into the wind or just us?

3. Only one wolf can follow you at one given time

Even more accurate

Hmm, it's rare but I know I've had more than one wolf stalk me at a time. Odd.

Pretty sure wind doesn't slow them down, but hard to say.

I think wind might slow down wolves, but definitely less than it slows down us.

Once I learned to just ignore Wolves, game became such a relaxing experience, even on interloper+

Relax if he follows you, just go on about your busyness. Scare him off if he is on your way.
